The event was held at Schuetzen Park Banquet Hall in North Bergen. Seniors are treated to free refreshments, music, dancing and more.

“The Senior Picnic has grown into one of North Bergen’s most important annual events, where we take time to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of our senior citizens and honor them for all that they have done,” said Mayor Sacco.

“Seniors deserve this special day and we are proud to provide it for them. It was wonderful to see so many friendly faces at the event enjoying the music, dancing and refreshments and I would like to thank the seniors for attending and all the staff and volunteers for making the picnic a success.”

Other officials in attendance included Assemblyman Vincent Prieto, Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez, County Executive Tom DeGise, County Sheriff Frank Schillari, County Surrogate Don DeLeo, Freeholder Tom Liggio, Commissioners Frank Gargiulo, Theresa Ferraro, Hugo Cabrera and Allen Pascual.
